ACL’s Eldercare Locator uses its annual Home for the Holidays campaign to encourage conversations about older adults’ well-being and connect families with helpful community resources. Kicking off November 17, this year’s campaign focuses on assistive technology. Ahead of the launch, this webinar will help the aging network better understand assistive technology and how it can help older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers.
Hosted by USAging, which operates the Eldercare Locator, the training will cover available technologies, how to connect people with devices and services, and where the aging network can refer people for additional assistance, including State Assistive Technology Act Programs. This event is especially recommended for information and referral specialists who may receive more inquiries during Home for the Holidays.
