On Wednesday, I had the honor of chairing the first-ever virtual meeting of the Elder Justice Coordinating Council.
The EJCC brings together leaders from across the federal government to address issues of elder justice nationally. Council members include the leaders of federal departments, agencies, and entities administering programs related to abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation. We were excited to welcome the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, marking the 15th member of the EJCC.

ACL is pleased to announce the 2020 cohorts of Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) and Falls Prevention grantees. The project period for these grants is August 1, 2020 – July 31, 2023.
The new CDSME grantees will reach an estimated 21,000 participants through evidence-based CDSME and self-management support programs. The cooperative agreements are intended to increase the number of CDSME program participants, while concurrently enhancing the sustainability of these proven programs.
